Franz

Franz entered the pound at around one year old and spent two years there with little stimulation or social contact. He arrived in foster care with skin problems and a heavy tick burden, and was initially very fearful and reactive. With consistent, calm handling he has made remarkable progress in just a few weeks — he now walks alongside medium-sized, settled dogs and warms up to trusted people quickly.

Franz still struggles around small, weak, or erratic dogs, and his insecurity can tip into dominance if situations aren’t managed early. He will thrive with an experienced owner who knows the breed, can read canine body language, and has the patience to continue his training — helping him become confident rather than reactive.
